July2006: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

After we left the wedding reception last night, we all decided to go see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. We also decided not to go home and change and that we were going to see the movie in our formal clothing. But, when we got to the movie theatre, the next two showings were sold out. We still wanted to see it so we decided to go see the 10:10pm showing. We bought out tickets and, since we had over two hours to spare, we stopped by Ashleigh and Amy's place so that they could get changed and then stopped at our place so that Frank and I could get changed. Then, it was off to the movie theatre again. We arrived just over an hour early and there was already a long line. I'm glad that we arrived when we did because we had to sit nearly in the front as it was. Blah.

The movie was really good, but very long at 150 minutes. It kept my attention and there definitely is going to be another sequel. I would definitely buy it after it comes out on DVD.

June2006: V For Vendetta

Frank, Samantha and I watched V For Vendetta this evening because our roommate, George, suggested the movie to us. At first, I didn't want to see it; I never had any intention of ever watching it. But, after he briefly described it to me today, I decided to watch it. Frank and Samantha both had been wanting to see it, so we all sat down and watched it together.

The movie revolves around a character named V who wears a Guy Fawkes mask and plans to blow up the parliament buildings on November 5th (in the future).

May2005: House of Wax

I saw House of Wax this past Friday with Laura and I really enjoyed it. It was, for the most part, different than recent horror/scary movies. I will admit that parts of it were cheesy. But, I don't care; I like it anyway. Yes, Paris Hilton is in it, but she isn't in it a lot and she dies. The effects towards the end of the movie were really cool, with the house. I definitely can't wait to see it again, and it will definitely be added to my DVD collection when it is released on DVD.

May2005: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I saw The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy a week ago yesterday and I absolutely loved it. I hadn't read the book so I wasn't quite sure what I was in for. But, I went to see it anyway; it looked good. I went with Laura, Carrie, her neighbor, and Carrie's friend. They had read the book sometime in the past and they said it followed the book fairly well. I definitely can't wait to see it again, and it will definitely be added to my DVD collection when it is released on DVD.

September2004: Wonderfully Fabulous

I really don't have much to report today. It was a day just like any other normal day in the life of knitter. I went to work. I came home. Here I am. Basically, that is it. I did, however, just finish watching Elizabeth with my roommate, Justin. We started watching it earlier this week and we didn't get a chance to finish until this evening. It was a wonderfully fabulous movie.

July2004: Calendar Girls

I just finished watching Calendar Girls and I absolutely loved it. I wanted to see it when it was in theatres, but I never had the chance. I rented it via Netflix a few days back and I finally got around to watching it. It's based off of a true story and is very refreshing. It's witty. It's funny. And, it put a little tear in my eye once or twice. :o)
